Join the 9th PCP Professional Photography and Photojournalism Workshop on November 26-30, 2014 at the Benguet State University, La Trinidad, Benguet.

PCP conducts and facilitates cutting edge trainings to help enhance technical, artistic and journalistic skills as well as promote and uphold the highest ethical standards among its members and the general photojournalism practitioners.

The five-day workshop imparts in the participants the requisites in the practice of photojournalism within the fast-changing media landscape. Facilitated by key PCP members and officers, the workshop gives the participants the opportunity to develop a photo essay project packaged into a multimedia within a particular theme.

The 9th Edition of the workshop will be held in Baguio City on November 26-30, 2014 with the theme focusing on rural development and environmental challenges. The target number of participants is 30 and with a window for two scholarship slots for student/university journalists on a competitive basis.

The workshop has produced alumni who have made a career in photojournalism. Several participants went on to study the Diploma in Photojournalism course at the Ateneo’s Asian Center for Journalism. Other past participants went on to work in newspapers or NGOs.

Majority of the workshop participants went back to their jobs armed with a better understanding of how photography and photojournalism can contribute to their places of work.

We are looking for passionate photographers from universities, newspapers, government agencies, private corporations and non-government organizations already equipped with basic photography skills. Develop your story-making abilities and sharpen your skills in visual journalism!

WORKSHOP FEE.

Subsidized workshop fee -- P9,000 inclusive of modest food and accommodation for five days, learning materials, limited edition workshop t-shirt and certificate of completion. Transportation from Manila to Baguio will be shouldered by the participant.
