ALEXIA FOUNDATION PROFESSIONAL & STUDENT GRANTS

Deadline: mid-September to early October
”For 30 years, Alexia Grants have supported student and professional visual journalists, helping them produce projects that inspire change by addressing socially significant topics.”

 

 

PHMUSEUM PHOTOGRAPHY GRANT 2021

Deadline: February 18, 2021
Fees: $19/$25
”The PHmuseum Photography Grant is an annual initiative that recognizes the importance of photography and visual storytelling.”

 

 

EUGENE SMITH GRANT

Deadline: 30 May 2021 at 11:59 pm EST
Fees: $50 USD per project
”Recognizing the widespread financial need caused by the worldwide pandemic, the W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography will once again break from tradition in 2021. Rather than award $40,000 to a single photographer, the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund will award $10,000 to five photographers whose work follows the tradition of compassionate photojournalism exhibited by W. Eugene Smith during his 45-year career.”

 

 

THE HOWARD CHAPNICK GRANT

Deadline: 30 May 2021 at 11:59 pm EST
Fees: $50 USD per project
In 1996 the W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund established the Howard Chapnick Grant, to encourage and support leadership in fields ancillary to photojournalism, such as editing, research, education and management. The Grant was established to honor the memory of Howard Chapnick, and to acknowledge the value of his enormous contribution to photography.
