Paglaum: A fundraising exhibit for
Typhoon Yolanda Survivors

Proceeds will be used to assist photojournalists and journalists affected by Typhoon Yolanda.March 5, 2014. Oarhouse Pub Manila.

The Photojournalists’ Center of the Philippines, Inc. (PCP, Inc.) is organizing  “Paglaum,” a photo exhibit which aims to raise funds for fellow photojournalists and journalists affected by Typhoon Yolanda.

A Waray word (dialect spoken in Samar and Leyte) for hope, “Paglaum” was the chosen theme of the exhibit to express solidarity and optimism by extending assistance to our colleagues in the media profession affected by the typhoon.

Framed photographs donated by PCP members will be auctioned on March 5, 2014 at Oarhouse Pub, Manila at 7PM.  Funds collected will be used to help media practitioners most affected by the typhoon. Recipients will be identified by a committee of PCP members in consultation with journalists based in Samar and Leyte.

PCP will also accept donations and will be selling special El Pago sausages, books, T-shirts at the venue of the exhibit to raise additional funds.
