The Photojournalists Center of the Philippines (PCP), an organization established in 1997 by noted Filipino photojournalists working in various local and international newspapers and publications, is now accepting participants to the 11th Professional Photojournalism and Documentary Photography Workshop to be held on 22-26 November 2016 in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.

We’re looking for passionate, emerging photographers from different schools, newspapers, agencies or companies who want to hone their skills, widen their perspectives, collaborate and plan their visual storytelling. The number of participants will be limited to 30.

This intensive workshop aims to raise the participants’ level of understanding of documentary photography and photojournalism trends and to enhance artistic and ethical practice of the profession.Instructors and facilitators include some of the top country’s photojournalists and visual storytellers and educators.

FEES & SPONSORSHIP Subsidized workshop fee is P10,000 inclusive of food, modest accommodation, workshop materials, complementary PCP limited edition workshop t-shirt and a certificate of completion.Transportation to Dapitan City and back is not covered by the workshop fee.

Participants must arrive at the venue on Nov 21, departures in the afternoon of Nov 26. Flights from Manila (via PAL and Cebu Pacific) is daily, enters Dipolog City which is less than an hour away from Dapitan.

Discounts are available to early registrants on or before October 15, 2016.
